It has launched a helpline to serve the educate investors and resolve issues of investors who have been sold inappropriate products.

DNS Wealth, one of the leading financial advisory firms in Orissa has launched a social initiative – ‘Jago Investor’ to spread financial literacy and guide investors.  It has launched a telephonic helpline through which the investors can solve their financial issues or queries.

The advisory firm has been in this business for last 20 years and feels mis-selling is the key obstruction for penetration of financial products. “Every day we get 2- 3 walk-ins who come to us for advice on their misguided investments. In fact, we have observed that friends and relatives end up giving wrong advice because they have been misguided by other brokers. Therefore we thought of launching a help-line service which will redress these problems,” said Vikash Agarwal, one of the partners of DNS Wealth.

Since the launch of the helpline on Thursday, it has already received 100 calls. The help-line will attend to issues related to any financial products - insurance, mutual funds, stocks and shares, fixed deposits, etc. Apart from resolving investor issues, it will also provide basic information on all financial products and do a detailed study of the mis-sold product and guide the investor accordingly. It will also help the investor to reach the correct official for resolving their grievance on financial products.

Vikas along with his three parters are currently handling investor query. If the help-line continues to receive 100- 200 calls every day, it plans to form a small team.  Many investors also asked the firm to conduct investor awareness campaign at different places.

The firm has got 3000 posters printed which they are putting up in various locations in Rourkela and Orissa to create awareness about the help-line. It is also reaching the investors through newspapers.

It is in the process of tying-up with newspapers and television channel for a monthly/bi-monthly write-ups and an investor awareness dedicated show respectively. It is also going to conduct free investor awareness campaign for different groups and clubs.

Investors can reach ‘Jago Investors on 9124996996, Monday to Friday from 10am – 6 pm.
