SEBI, MF CEOs, AMFI and FIFA to participate in this meeting with Finance Ministry officials

Mumbai based Foundation of Independent Financial Advisors (FIFA) will join representatives from SEBI, AMFI and 10 top CEOs in this meeting with Finance Ministry officials to discuss the issues afflicting the industry.

“IFAs have been given their due recognition this time. FIFA will put forth its views on issues facing the industry and distributors,” says Yogesh Sharma, Director of FIFA.

Expectedly, industry officials are likely to urge the finance ministry officials to allow Rajiv Gandhi Equity Saving Scheme (RGESS) to be routed through mutual funds. Distribution compensation issue would also be taken up because the transaction charges introduced by SEBI did not yield the desired results.

On 27th June, PM Manmohan Singh who has taken charge of the finance ministry portfolio had said that there are some issues in the mutual fund industry which need to be resolved.
