Based on the feedback received from distributors having GST registration number, Karvy Computershare has made your financial year-ending GST compliance easier. The company has decided to support distributors by sharing GST invoices, credit notes, brokerage income statement and so on latest by April 10, 2018.

With these documents, you can complete your year-end income provisioning, GST provisioning, remit GST and file GST returns before the deadline of April 20, 2018.

R&T agents, such as Karvy Computershare, provide GST invoices and income statement to distributors by 14th of every month. However, considering the time-consuming nature of year-end closure requirement, the company has decided to compute and share these documents early, for this month.

Ravikumar Somasi, GM, Karvy Computershare said, “MF distributors need accurate GST invoices and credit notes in a timely manner, particularly at the financial year ending, to complete year-end accounts closure. Hence, we have decided to provide these documents early from our side. This will certainly help MF distributors to close their accounts, file GST returns accurately on time.”

Currently, distributors earning over Rs.20 lakh in a year or having a GST registration number have to pay GST; distributors with GST registration have to pay the tax irrespective of their income.
