    Anup Maheshwari quits DSP BlackRock MF

    Maheshwari was the CIO- Equities at DSP BlackRock MF.

    Executive movement in Rs.23 lakh crore mutual fund industry continues.

    In the latest development, Anup Maheshwari, CIO – Equities has quit DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund  (DSP Mutual Fund very soon), said a press release issued by the company.

    The company said, “Anup Maheshwari, CIO - Equities has decided to leave the firm to pursue other opportunities.”

    Maheshwari has been with DSP BlackRock since July 1997 and managed their domestic funds from May 2001 to June 30, 2012. Anup was CIO at HSBC Asset Management between Dec 2005 and May 2006 before returning to DSP BlackRock. Anup has previously worked for Chescor, a British fund management firm that used to run three offshore funds investing in Indian equities.

    The fund house has promoted Vinit Sambre, Senior Vice President as Head of Equities and Rohit Singhania, Senior Vice President as Co-Head – Equities with immediate effect.

    While Vinit Sambre has been a fund manager since June 2010 and currently manages the DSP BlackRock Small Cap Fund and DSP BlackRock Midcap Fund as co-fund manager, Rohit Singhania has been with DSP BlackRock since 2005 and has over 18 years of experience in fund management and research.
