AMFI ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ campaigns seems to have started bearing fruit.
Among the top 10 states in terms of AAUM, Uttar Pradesh recorded the fastest growth in assets, adding Rs. 24,604 crore as on June 2018. Similarly, small states and union territories have recorded the fastest increase in assets in the last one y the top 20 states in terms of AAUM, Chhattisgarh saw fastest increase in its assets growing at a rate of 46% compared to June 2017.
Barring Goa that saw its AAUM shrinking by 41% falling to Rs.15,837 crore in the past one year, all states recorded a growth in their asset base. This widespread increase in mutual AUM is a heartening trend.

New Delhi (Rs. 2.34 lakh crore), Karnataka (Rs. 1.64 lakh crore), Gujarat (Rs. 1.57 lakh crore) and West Bengal (Rs. 1.24 lakh crore) follow Maharashtra in absolute size.
