Axis Equity Hybrid Fund, an equity oriented balanced fund, which was open for subscription until August 3 has mopped up Rs.2310 crore during its NFO.
Karan Datta, Chief Business Officer, Axis MF said, “We have collected close to Rs.2310 crore during the NFO period and received over 86,000 applications from investors.”
Datta further said that most of the applications had come from retail investors. “Rock solid performance and good track record of our funds have helped us collect healthy inflows during the NFO. Also, we have been receiving healthy inflows in our existing funds.”
He told Cafemutual that a large part of collection has come from Axis Bank followed by the IFA channel and NDs.
The fund aims to invest between 65-80% in equity and equity related instruments and the remaining portion in debt and money market instruments. The fund will follow bottom up investing in quality stocks. The scheme aims to generate sustainable long-term performance while containing risk.
Shreyash Devalkar, Senior Fund Manager – Equity, Ashish Naik, Fund Manager, Equity and R Sivakumar, Head – Fixed Income will manage the fund.
