    It plans to look at various ways for adding more IFAs to the industry

    AMFI charts various initiatives for the growth of MF industryAMFI does not want to restrict its role to just being a lobby for mutual fund industry. Instead its focus is to ensure that it works holistically to ensure the growth of the industry.  Among its initiatives is a plan to work with SEBI to create for redressing of various issues faced by IFAs and investors.

    It also plans to come up with a structured communication model to resolve various issues of distributors. “We are seriously looking at various ways to grow the IFA numbers for deeper penetration in the industry,” said H N Sinor, chief executive AMFI at CII Mutual Fund Summit.

    He also stated that AMFI would like to strengthen the relation between the IFAs and the market brokers so that the IFAs can use the exchange traded platform smoothly for transactions. AMFI is also looking at making MFs more investor friendly. “We are planning to create front end utility in mutual fund. This will leave investors with better choice and easy access,” said Sinor.
