    In an exclusive interview with Nikunj Dalmia of ET Now , Prashant Jain , ED & CIO, HDFC AMC, says last 10 years, the index has trailed the nominal GDP growth by 7-8% per year and whenever the Sensex has delivered below 6-7% returns in the past 10 years, the next 10 years it has delivered very good returns.

    2017 was supposed to be a dull year after the demonetisation impact; Trump economics was at play and there was a big question mark over GST rollout but it has turned out to be a dream year for the broader market and also for Nifty 50. What really has done the trick for us this year?
