The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) delivered its second consecutive 25 bps rate hike. They voted 5-1 in favour of a hike, which also suggests reasonable consensus.
The repo rate (the rate at which banks borrow from the RBI) was increased by 25 bps and now stands at 6.5 per cent.
