Should you invest in fixed maturity plans or FMPs?

Several AMCs are busy launching FMPs with a tenure of a little over 1,095 days or 36 months. In July, the AMCs have launched a total of 46 FMPs.

Why are AMCs launching so many FMPs?

G-Sec yields are high. Historically, whenever G-Sec yields are at an elevated level, FMP launches go up. The 10-year G-Sec yields have shot up from the levels around 6.5 to 7.82 in the last one-year.
