Mutual fund folios in India rose 2.65% quarter-on-quarter in the three months ended June to a new record, indicating the steadily rising interest of retail investors in the growing asset management industry.
Mutual funds added 1.2 million folios from the quarter ending March to go to 4.89 crore, according to data made available from the Association of Mutual Funds of India (Amfi).
Folios in the quarter ending June increased 6.14 million or 14.36% from the corresponding period last year, data showed.
