Primero Skills & Training, a private skilling company, aims to skill and train at least 30,000 life insurance agents on a pan-India basis this fiscal, a top official said.
The company is looking to do this in the top six cities and is also in advance stage of getting into a tie-up with a private life insurer for absorbing the skilled agents, Jayanta Das, Managing Director, told BusinessLine.
Primero’s Delhi centre is authorised by the National Skill Development Corporation to impart skills in banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI). In India, life insurance agents get commission from insurers for products sold through them. They are not employees of life insurers.
