Average assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry surged by Rs 16,000 crore to touch Rs 25.43 lakh crore in May 2019, helped by inflows in liquid funds. Equity funds, too, saw inflows of Rs 5,407 crore, higher than the Rs 4,609 crore in April.
