The Budget 2019 was presented in the lower house of the Indian Parliament on 5 July 2019 by the Finance Minister. As is the norm, the economic survey for the financial year 2018-19 was released a day before. The key aspects from the economic survey and the Union Budget and amendments proposed in the Finance (No.2) Bill 2019, as is relevant for the insurance and NPS sector, are discussed hereunder.
