Corporate debt new lure as stock, FD returns fall

Several stocks in mid, small-cap space are down 20-25% over the last one year.

Paltry stock-market returns and a reduction in bank fixed-deposit rates are driving fixed-income investors to corporate debt paper.

“Negative returns from stock market investments over the last couple of years are making many investors opt for fixed-return products,” said Anup Bhaiya, CEO, Money Honey Financial Services.
