Thanks to EPFO, SBI Mutual Fund has crossed AUM of Rs.20,000 crore in its ETFs. SBI MF claims that they are the first fund house to achieve this milestone.
In 2015, the Labour Ministry had started investing 5% of the incremental corpus of Employee Provident Fund Organization or EPFO in equity markets through SBI Mutual Fund’s ETFs. These ETFs track the broad equity indices like S&P Sensex and Nifty 50.
SBI MF began its ETF journey with the launch of its first ETF, SBI – ETF Gold (earlier known as SBI GETS) in 2009. Currently, the fund house has five equity ETFs, one fixed income ETF and one commodity (gold) ETF.
“Over the years, we have created sophisticated architecture and risk management processes to ensure maintenance of low tracking errors. Both in terms of performance & expense ratio, SBIMF ETFs are extremely competitive.” said Anuradha Rao, MD & CEO, SBI MF.
SBI MF manages an AAUM of over Rs.1.40 lakh crore as on December 31, 2016.
