I distribute multiple products like mutual funds, insurance, company FDs and other products. I am in the process of printing new visiting cards. I would like to know - designation that I can put in my card and things I need to keep in mind comply with SEBI/AMFI norms.

Dear Jaikumar,
According to the new guidelines, you have to carry a tagline ‘AMFI registered Mutual Fund Distributor’ along with your name or company name.
The tagline has to be carried in a clear and legible font of at least font size 12 across all forms of communication.
You should display your name and tagline in a clear and legible font in all forms of communication i.e. website, mobile app, printed or electronic materials, business card, sign board and so on.
Moreover, you should not create an impression that you perform a role of financial advisor for which you are not registered. Instead, you should explicitly mention that you are acting as an MFD.
Also, you cannot use nomenclature like wealth manager, financial advisor, financial consultant and so on.
However, you can mention on your card that you distribute other financial products as well.
On designation, it depends on structure of business – sole proprietorship, partnership firm, private limited or public limited.
If you have sole proprietorship or partnership firm, you can use nomenclature like founder, founding member, director and so on.
