In order to improve disclosure standards of PMS and help direct plan investors make informed decisions, SEBI has asked PMS to disclose data on net inflows and outflows in their monthly scheme disclosure document.
Another revision to the monthly disclosure is addition of details of products and services offered by PMS players like direct plan of schemes, discretionary, non-discretionary and advisory services.
This is in line with the market regulator thrust on improving disclose and transparency in PMS. In fact, last year, SEBI asked PMS players to disclose details of investment approach, reason for choosing a particular stock/instrument, allocation across types of securities, indicative tenures, risk association and so on.
From January 2021, portfolio managers are required to submit the monthly report on SEBI intermediaries portal by the last week of each month.
