The PMS AUM (excluding EPFO/PF investments) has almost tripled in 2021 from Rs. 1.50 lakh crore to Rs. 4.20 lakh crore a year ago, shows SEBI data.
The growth in assets is in line with industry expectations of PMS & AIF AUM growing at a high pace to touch Rs.50 lakh crore in the next 10 years.
Of the total PMS AUM (non-EPFO/PF) at the end of 2021, discretionary PMS AUM is Rs. 2.60 lakh crore and the rest Rs. 1.50 lakh crore is non-discretionary.

The industry has witnessed a 27% growth in number of clients in 2021. SEBI data shows that the number of clients has risen from 1 lakh to 1.34 lakh during the period.
The highest growth in number of clients was seen in discretionary and advisory segments. While the number of discretionary clients rose from 98,187 to 1.25 lakh, the number of advisory clients grew from 1,093 to 1,853.
