CIFA 2020 turned out to be an insightful event with distributors learning from some of industry’s best minds and outside experts how to acquire clients, keep them and grow with them. This was in line with the theme for this seventh edition of CIFA ‘It’s all about clients. Acquiring them. Keeping Them. Growing with them’.
As many as 26 speakers addressed nearly 540 audience members with real life inspirational stories, tips to adopt to tectonic changes in the industry and valuable insights on market dynamics.
Among the speakers were the likes of Sunil Subramaniam, MD, Sundaram MF, Kailash Kulkarni, CEO, L&T MF and Anjali Bhagwat, Indian rifle shooter.
Sunil Subramaniam, MD, Sundaram MF said that focussing on a niche client segment would help MFDs grow at a healthy pace. He added that MFDs need to present themselves as a brand to thrive in this business.
Kailash Kulkarni, CEO, L&T MF spoke about marketing lessons from successful distributors. He advised the audience to cut out noise in form of news, pitch products that you belief in and focus on niche.
Anjali Bhagwat shared her success mantras such as setting realistic goals, work hard and remaining disciplined. She added that mental training helped her become the world number one
CIFA 2020 also witnessed the launch of Cafemutual's book 'Turbo Charge Your Business'. The book covers a comprehensive range of topics starting from acquiring and retaining clients to specifics like negotiating brokerages and transferring assets.
In fact, the event also witnessed some lively activities and contests that kept the josh high.
The event ended on an entertaining note with famous stand-up comedian Vipul Goyal taking the audience for a laughter ride.
