CAMS is making special efforts to enable distributors across the country to complete KYD well ahead of the deadline
Mumbai: Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), a registrar and transfer agent, in a bid to speed up the KYD task, has activated more temporary points of service (POS) across India.
It has completed processing of KYD applications of 12,000 distributors so far. There are more than 81,000 distributors registered with AMFI, with nearly half of them active.
CAMS was so far processing KYD applications at 60 locations across the country. AMFI has set February 28, 2011 as the deadline for completing this process. AMFI has ruled out any extension of this deadline. If distributors fail to complete the KYD procedure within the deadline, commissions due will be withheld.
The following is the list of cities and towns where CAMS will accept KYD applications and conduct biometric identification. The dates when the KYD task will be undertaken at these centers are also given alongside:
