S Krishna Kumar has quit Sundaram Mutual as CIO Equity after a 17-year stint at the company.
Krishnakumar expressed his desire to leave the company as he wanted to do something of his own, said MD & CEO Sunil Subramaniam.
The company has launched a search for his replacement and is considering both internal and external candidates. The funds that Krishnakumar managed have been handed over to people within the team.
The company is hopeful of finding the replacement in the next few weeks.
