With the India’s biggest cricket extravaganza is set to begin from today, Union Mutual Fund and Cafemutual has come up with a contest that will keep you going. All you need is predict the player of the match before each match and if your player becomes the player of the match, you stand a chance to become India’s first MF Cricket Icon.
Sharing the rationale for launching this contest, G Pradeepkumar, CEO, Union MF said that the MF Cricket Icon aims to keep mutual fund distribution community motivated. He said, “Distributors have been going through a lot of challenges due to the pandemic. While we are aware of the situation, we want to lighten their mood as cricket season is here and who does not love cricket? Distributors have always been very passionate about cricket. The contest MF Cricket Icon will capture the sportsman spirit of the community and encourage them to cheer up and enjoy the country’s favourite sport.”
How the contest works
- Pick up 5 players before each match who according to you can be ‘the player of the match'
- If your picked player becomes ‘the player of the match, you earn 10 points
- Similarly, once the playoff ends, you give us 5 names each who stand a chance of becoming 'the player of the IPL tournament', the batsman with maximum runs and the bowler with highest wickets. If your prediction is correct, you earn 100 points. You can earn up to 300 points here
- Finally, give us the names of two teams before eliminator matches or immediately after the play offs to earn another 100 points
- Distributors with highest points will become India’s first MF Cricket Icon

A dashboard will be available throughout the competition on Cafemutual website. The participants can keep a track of the score by visiting our website
Who can participate?
Mutual Fund distributors, advisors, bankers, national distributors and employees of R&Ts/platforms
What will you get?
At the end of the tournament, top 3 scorers from each zone- North, South, East and West will be 'The MF Cricket Icon'. These 12 winners will be awarded with trophies and get exclusive coverage on Cafemutual.
