I believe little things make a big difference. Hence, the first thing I do when clients enter my office is welcome them and give a touch of aromatherapy perfume on their hands. The perfume lasts for the whole day and reminds them of the visit.
Secondly, I try my level best to resolve all their financial queries like a friend. I suggest an investment plan no matter whether they invest with me or not. I focus on being approachable rather than product pushing. My goal is to win their confidence and respect.

I try to impress prospects by showing my existing clients’ returns over the years rather than showing past performance of mutual funds. Evidence of successful investment is more like a goodwill in front of clients.
Another thing I ensure when meeting clients is being punctual. I make sure to reach early for all client meetings. Also,I carry all the material that needs to be shared with clients like analysis of different asset classes in both hard and soft copy. For senior citizen clients, I ensure I carry a hard copy of all information. This shows my sensitivity towards each client

I meet at least 4-5 clients every day and every time I meet a new client, I carry a small plant with me. I greet them with a natural plant which brings a smile on their face. Interestingly, I buy those plants from a NGO in a village. The gift tends to be a symbol of a long relationship with clients.
Another thing that creates a lasting impression is professionalism. I wear a coat, a formal attire in every meeting with clients. This shows my seriousness and professionalism towards handling clients' money.
