Last year was very challenging for us. But this adversity has brought out the best out of humanity. In fact, many organisations extended their helping hand to the people in need.
Cafemutual has launched a new initiative titled ‘Humanity In Action’ to highlight these noble activities of AMCs, banks, national distributors and ecosystem.
One such company is Edelweiss AMC. With rising covid-19 cases, Edelweiss AMC has been supporting its employees emotionally and physically to deal with the pandemic.
The AMC has introduced a host of health and wellness measures for employees. The company offers 14-day leave to employees if they or their family suffer from the disease. This special leave is over and above annual leave.
The AMC has also organised a vaccination drive for employees and their family members. The company will also reimburse vaccination cost if an employee has already administered the vaccination.
The company has also tied up with doctors, counsellors and pathology labs to offer medical assistance to employees and their family members to deal with the virus.
Also, the company has been offering financial consultancy to all employees under which they can avail services like financial planning free of cost.
Another activity that the AMC has introduced is a small talk initiative in which an employee has to call another employee of different department and talk about something which is not related to work.
Commenting on these supportive measures for employees, Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss AMC said, "In our continuous endeavour to stand together through this pandemic, we do hope that all these measures help our employees and their families in these turbulent times. In today's time, people are psychologically and emotionally feeling drained and even the smallest of the problems are becoming a cause for worry. Currently, the employees and their families must get timely medical guidance and the required support to fight this situation."
