It has been an amazing experience to narrate the stories of Tata Mutual Fund’s ‘My Self-Belief, My Journey’ contest winners. Each story highlights faith, hard work and resilience and has not only won the hearts of many but also created a ray of hope, especially in these testing times.
Here is the story of the final winner, Viral Bhatt.
Viral developed a keen interest in financial markets at a very young age. Eventually, he pursued post-graduation in financial planning and completed certified financial planning in 2006. He started his professional journey with wealth management and financial companies. He handled a sizeable number of clients there. Later, he joined an investment consultancy firm as a partner. Viral always wanted to have his own venture, which he finally established in 2014.
His initial clients were from his circle, which multiplied over time due to referrals and IAPs. Since the beginning, Viral focussed on offering complete financial solutions through financial planning, tax planning and so on. He leveraged digital technology to save time and deploy the saved time to focus on business. Further, an active presence on various social media platforms helped him create brand awareness.
2019 marked a new milestone as he rented out an office premise. In the following year, he also hired a member for backend operations. Viral continues to scale new heights, as he recently tied up with a start-up to conduct IAPs on monthly basis.
In 2020, he received the Young Achievers Award 2020 from the Indian Achievers Forum in recognition of outstanding professional achievement & contribution towards personal finance profession.
He currently offers distribution of financial products under the name of Money Mantra which manages assets worth around Rs.132 crore across all product offerings, of which around Rs.52 crore is in mutual funds.
In six years, Viral has acquired more than 450 clients. He believes for a business, one should always plan ahead of time and be ready to face any obstacle that may take one away from the desired goal.
This is Viral’s story where he visualised his venture and made it happen. It epitomises American Entrepreneur, Scott Belsky quote that says, “It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.”
