Net profit of HDFC AMC went up 14% year-on-year to Rs 345 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of FY 2022. The asset management company had reported Rs 300 crore profit for the same quarter last year.
In quarterly terms, the net profit has risen 9.3% from Rs 316 crore in the previous quarter. Revenue increased 0.8% to Rs 507 crore from Rs 503 crore in Q4 FY 2021.
The AMC's quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM) stood 17% higher at Rs 4.17 lakh crore as against Rs 3.56 crore during Q1 FY 2021.
"As of June 30, 2021, 58% of the company's total monthly AAUM is contributed by individual investors. The share of B-30 locations to our total monthly AAUM is 15%," the company said in a press release.
The AMC said it has 53 lakh unique investors as compared to total industry aggregate of 2.4 crore.
