AMFI has given relaxation of three more months to mutual fund distributors to renew ARN.

With this, your existing ARN or ARN expired between March 15, 2020 and December 31, 2021 will now be in active status till January 1, 2022.

In a notification, AMFI said, “NISM has announced on its website that the validity of NISM certificates of those who could not appear or attend or enroll for certification examinations or CPE/ eCPE  programmes and as such, could not renew/ are not in a position to renew their certificates, during the period March 15, 2020 to December 31, 2021 (or any time period based on future developments/ the Government directions), shall be extended till January 01, 2022.”

The validity  of EUINs of individual MFDs / employees & sales personnel of MFDs, which are expiring during the period March 15, 2020 to December 31, 2021, will also stand automatically extended till January 01, 2022, clarified AMFI.

You can renew your ARN/EUIN from your home or office by appearing for eCPE.

Remember that the new AMFI ARN renewal norms of AMFI will be implemented after expiry of NISM extension. Among the key changes to the ARN renewals norms will be shifting assets of your clients to other distributors or direct plans if you do not renew ARN within 3 months of expiry of ARN and cancellation of your ARN if you do not renew it within 6 months.
