    Corporate and banking funds that are rated the best by Crisil

    Nippon India Corporate Bond Fund and Edelweiss Banking and PSU Debt Fund are among the funds which have received top ranking from Crisil Research.

    In CRISIL Research’s latest mutual fund scheme rankings, two corporate bond funds have made it to the top league — the CRISIL Fund Rank 1. Schemes which are 'very good performing' according to CRISIL find a place in the top slot. 

    In the banking & PSU space, two funds have got Rank 1. In case of credit risk fund, only one scheme has got the top rating.

    The ranking across categories including equity, debt and hybrid is based on the analysis of 474 funds, which account for 79% of total open-ended industry assets.

    Here's the complete list of corporate bond funds, banking & PSU funds and credit risk funds which have made it to the top bracket:

    Corporate Bond funds

    DSP Corporate Bond Fund

    This fund has delivered three-year trailing return of 9%, which is significantly higher than the benchmark returns of 7%. For the period, the category's average return is 8.5%. One-year return of the fund is 4.3%.

    Nippon India Corporate Bond Fund

    The fund has risen to Rank 1 category from Rank 3 in the March quarter. It has delivered 8% return in the 3-year period as against 7% rise in benchmark. In the one-year period, it has delivered the highest return in the category at 6.6%.

    The fund is a new addition to the Rank 1 category. The returns delivered by the fund is highest in the category in every time frame. The fund's 3-year return of 10.8% is more than 3 times the growth in benchmark. The category's average return is 8.6%.

    ICICI Prudential Banking & PSU Debt Fund

    The fund's one-year return is the second highest in the category. It has delivered a return of 6% during the period compared to 2.2% growth in benchmark.
