IFA Galaxy has conducted a prayer meeting on Dec 20, 2021 to pay tribute to late VK Sudharsan, who was also lovingly known as VKS.

Talking to Cafemutual, Veteran MFD AK Narayan said, “We are at a loss of words to express our grief over the loss of VKS, a pioneer in the mutual fund distribution industry, an active member of IFA Galaxy and a very dear friend. VKS was a service-oriented person who was always at the forefront to help local distributors. His demise is an irreparable loss. He will always be missed.”

Another close friend of VKS, Venkateswaran Muthukrishnan said, “VKS had a passion for life and interests across different fields. He passionately carried out his agricultural activities and loved good food. He always had a soft corner for Thattu Vada and Onion Uthappams. I will miss his warm and welcoming smile. I pray to Almighty God to rest his soul to eternal peace and give his family the strength to overcome this terrible period.”

Roopa Venkatkrishnan from the Foundation of Independent Financial Adviser (FIFA) also expressed her grief and shared, “VKS did a lot for the IFA community and for his clients. He was a wonderful human being and it is very unfortunate that he has left us early. VKS was also a well-wisher of FIFA, and we are indebted for his contribution. His demise has left a void. May his eternal soul rest in peace.”

When the unfortunate news broke on Cafemutual’s website on Dec 18, 2021 it sent shockwaves across the mutual fund industry. MFDs/RIAs expressed their sorrow through condolences messages.

“VKS was respected for his benevolence, knowledge, investor centric approach and affable nature. He was a mentor to many including me. He never shied away from sharing his knowledge or providing guidance”, wrote Kalyanaraman Thyagarajan.

Venkatachalam KK wrote, “It is sad to know the demise of such a wonderful human being.”

VKS shared a special association with Cafemutual as well. Remembering his amicability, Nishant Patnaik, Associate Editor, Cafemutual said, “VKS was a dear friend. He always helped Cafemutual to reach out to MFDs in Tamil Nadu. I still remember when I first met VKS at the annual IFA Galaxy event in Mahabalipuram, he introduced me to south Indian delicacies like Curd Rice and Lemon Rice. I hope his soul rests in peace. Om Shanti.”
