Bhopal MFD Ramakant Saxena suffered a paralytic attack two years back and has been bedridden since then. His suffering didn’t stop here and he had a major heart attack on 11 May 2022. Even four stents and 200 electric shocks could not make the situation better.
Currently, Ramakant is on ventilator support and is diagnosed with multiple organ disorder.
Ramakant, aged 56 years is a resident of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He lives with his homemaker wife Archana, 27-year old son Arpit and 20-year old daughter Aarushi.
The Saxena family has already spent Rs. 14 lakh on medical expenses and needs Rs. 10-12 lakh more. Ramakant’s health insurance sum assured has been exhausted and so has his savings. They also borrowed some funds from their acquaintances and have also reached out to a crowdfunding platform for help.
Sharing an update on Ramakant’s health, Bhopal MFD Munnavar Khan of Vision Invest Tech said, “Apart from the heart ailment, our MFD friend is also battling kidney and liver infection. The doctors operated on him for kidney stones yesterday and are also treating him through dialysis. He is also a diabetic and has a temporary pacemaker fitted. The pacemaker is to be replaced with an automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.”
Seeing Ramakant’s health woes, Bhopal MFD Munnavar and Shailendra Singh Solanki of Kotak MF started a fund-raising campaign. Munnavar said, “We started a fundraising campaign and reached out to as many as possible through social media. However, the amount required is huge. It is my earnest request to everyone to help Ramakant and his family overcome this difficult phase. Every contribution can help to fund his treatment.”
Given the MFD’s grievous health conditions, there has been no new business in the past two years. While Archana addresses clients’ queries with the help of a fund house representative, Arpit works as a relationship manager with a private bank. The family is finding it difficult to arrange additional funds.
