Julius Baer India has appointed Umang Papneja as its new CEO w.e.f. August 1, 2022. He joins the Swiss wealth management group with an experience of over 20 years.
In his last stint, Umang was the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of IIFL Wealth where he focused on product innovation and strategically guided investment decisions. He has also held board positions at IIFL Distribution Services, IIFL Wealth Capital Markets and IIFL Wealth Finance. Additionally, he was on the investment committee of several AIFs.
Before joining IIFL in 2009, Umang was the Director & Head - Investment Advisory, India at Societe Generale Private Banking.
Umang holds Masters in Management Studies (Finance) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
