    Anoop Bhaskar quits IDFC MF, Manish Gunwani is the new Head-Equities

    Anoop joined IDFC MF in 2016 as Head Equities.

    Anoop Bhaskar, one of the best regarded fund managers, has quit IDFC Mutual Fund to take a break. He joined the fund house in 2016 as Head – Equities.

    The fund house has appointed Manish Gunwani as Head-Equities. In this role, Gunwani will have overall responsibility for equity fund management for the fund house.
     
    Manish has over 25 years of rich experience. Prior to IDFC MF, he was the Chief Investment Officer - Equities at Nippon India Mutual Fund and the Deputy CIO (Equities) at ICICI Prudential AMC.

    Manish graduated from IIT Madras and has a postgraduate diploma in management from IIM Bangalore.
     
    In a press release, Vishal Kapoor, CEO, IDFC AMC said, “We are delighted to have Manish Gunwani on board. Manish’s proven expertise and successful track record will further enhance our equity franchise. His leadership combined with our talented equities team and our strong institutional framework will help drive the next phase of growth at our AMC. We take this opportunity to thank Anoop Bhaskar for his contribution to IDFC AMC and for building a strong process-driven equities team, and respect his decision to take a break at this juncture in his career.
