NISM has discontinued facilitating online examination for certification examination like NISM Series VA: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination.

In October 2020, NISM launched remote proctored examination or online examination that enabled candidates to appear for NISM examination from the comfort of your home or office.

In a communication, NISM said, “During the Covid-19 restrictions, NISM has provided an additional facility to candidates in the form of Remote Proctored Examinations to appear for NISM’s Certification Examinations. As all the NISM’s test centers are fully functional now, it is decided to discontinue the remote proctored mode of exam delivery.”

In another development, NISM has temporarily suspended eCPE training due to technical glitch on its digital platform. It said, “Candidates may enroll for classroom CPE programs for future dates as NISM is not accepting any new enrolments for eCPE (continuing professional education in e-format) due to technical issue on NISM’S eCPE website (estore.nism.ac.in). We are working on it and we will update you once the issue is resolved. We highly regret the inconvenience caused.”

With eCPE, MFDs can complete training through video lessons and quizzes from the comfort of their home and office in three and a half hours.

Not a good decision. When the world is going digital this step is totally counter to that direction. NISM online exam was such a relief.

When the government is focusing on Digitalization across the country during the Amrit Kaal, I don't understand, why NISM want to discontinue the well established online proctored mode. They could charge it a little more if it were costly, but why stop it? Looking at tone of above, I am not sure if they will restart the eCPE. More and more government services are going online and here...

Why to rollback when online system is running smooth. Govt is promoting digitization and nism a premier body going back to offline process. Not welcome step. Hope nism will rollback this decision
