All Mutual Fund Distributors Welfare Association (AMDwA) held the ‘MFD Samman’ Awards at its Annual Knowledge Summit 2023 on February 15 2023 in Delhi. Through these awards, the MFD association recognised the exceptional performance of five MFDs.
Talking about the ‘MFD Samman’ Awards, Sanjay Bhan, President, AMDwA, said “We salute our winners for their relentless spirit and outstanding contribution to the MF industry.”
Here is the winners’ list.
- Ajay Dudeja, Haryana - Ajay hails from Sonipat, a B-30 city. He started distributing mutual funds in 1992 and has helped over 1,000 investors achieve their financial aspirations. Additionally, he has mentored numerous budding MFDs to establish and grow their business.
- Anil Khera, Delhi - A second-generation mutual fund distributor, Anil has been guiding investors for decades now. He also features in the list of top 100 MFDs of India released by Cafemutual and manages an AUM of over Rs. 200 crore.
- Brij Mohan, Delhi - A strong supporter of financial literacy, Brij has dedicated himself to the cause of spreading mutual fund awareness. He has been in the industry for more than 20 years. He also guides new MFDs to set up their businesses.
- Hardesh Jain, Delhi - In his journey of over 30 years, Hardesh has guided individual as well as corporate investors to create their financial roadmaps. He has also been actively involved in guiding and training over 100 individuals to start as MFDs.
- Mukesh Gupta, Delhi - An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Mukesh is passionate about spreading financial literacy through educational sessions and his YouTube channel. Mukesh is a chartered accountant and certified financial planner by qualification.
The MFD association also felicitated partner associations from Agra, Kolkata, Mathura, Meerut, Nasik, Saharanpur and Varanasi.
About Annual Knowledge Summit 2023
This year the summit was themed परिवर्तन - नया युग नयी दिशाएं (Change - New Era, New Direction).
Elaborating on it further, Ajay Sharma, Secretary AMDwA said, “Mutual fund industry or personal finance space at large is going through a lot of changes. This is visible across the spectrum - investor’s psychology, behaviour or preferences, distribution business and practices, tech influence, fund management, etc.”
Sanjay Bhan, President, AMDwA added, “Through this knowledge summit we wanted our members to identify future trends and prepare themselves accordingly to provide best services to their investors.”
The event hosted over 350 MFDs and top MF executives like A Balasubramanian of Aditya Birla Sun Life MF and AMFI Chairman, CP Padiyar of TATA MF, Hemant Kumar of TATA MF, Kailash Kulkarni of HSBC MF, Krishan Sharma of HDFC MF and Mohit Sharma of Franklin MF who guided MFDs to be future-ready.
