AMFI has asked mutual fund distributors to be careful when they quote Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) with their ARN.

The trade body said that they will not entertain any correction to the GST number at a later stage.

AMFI said, “Distributors are requested to mention their GSTIN correctly and completely while placing the ARN registration and renewal request itself. No corrections/inclusion of GSTIN will be entertained later.”

MFDs are required to update AMFI about their GST status. If you take GST registration or cancel it, you need to send an email to amfigst@camsonline.com with details.  You will also have to attach a scanned copy of acknowledgement receipt of new registration or cancellation of GST registration.

AMFI with the help of CAMS will update all AMCs and RTAs about your GST status. This means you need not inform AMCs and R&T agents separately.
