    Sundaram Mutual Fund elevates Sunil Subramaniam as Deputy CEO

    Sundaram Mutual Fund has announced that it has appointed Sunil Subramaniam as Deputy CEO with effect from February 19. Sunil was earlier Director Sales and Global Operations. 

    Sunil Subramaniam joined Sundaram Mutual in September 2005. Over his eight and half years tenure with Sundaram Mutual Fund, his duties were spread over three roles starting out as Vice President (Retail Distribution) to Executive Director (Sales and Marketing) and Director (Sales and Global Operations). As Deputy CEO of Sundaram Mutual, Sunil Subramaniam will shoulder extensive operational and functional responsibilities.

    Commenting on this appointment, Harsha Viji, Managing Director, Sundaram Mutual, said, “Sunil, in so many ways embodies the Sundaram values, and I am delighted for him to join me as deputy CEO. His unflagging enthusiasm is something anyone who interacts with him notices immediately. But it is also his sincerity and unstinting hard work that have contributed to his success, and to the company’s.”

    Sunil Subramaniam has a Masters in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and MBA from The Open University, London. Besides Sundaram, he has put in twenty years in the banking industry of which nine years were with State Bank of India, nine years with American Express Bank and two years with Bank of America.
