Nippon India MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF were the top three players in terms of MF folios in December 2023.

Put together, these three fund houses manage over 5.62 crore MF folios in the MF industry.

Nippon India MF tops the table with 2.25 crore folios whereas ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF captured the next two spots with 1.88 crore and 1.49 folios, respectively.

Both Nippon India MF and ICICI Prudential MF continue to retain their top spots in December 2023 in terms of folio count.

However, the next four rankings underwent a change. HDFC MF moved to third spot by overtaking Axis MF, UTI MF and SBI MF. Similarly, SBI MF secured fourth position by moving one position up. Their folio count stood at 1.49 crore and 1.36 crore in December 2023, respectively.

On the other hand, Axis MF and UTI MF, both slipped two positions down. With 1.25 crore and 1.23 crore, they occupy the fifth and sixth rank, respectively.
Notably, these are the only six fund houses where the folio count is above Rs 1 crore.

The next four rankings remained unchanged - Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, DSP MF, Kotak MF and Mirae Asset stayed on the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth spots.

Let us look at the top 10 fund houses in terms of folio count.
