At the Cafemutual Ideas Fest 2024, Nilesh Shah, MD and CEO of Kotak Mutual Fund shared with us some simple yet powerful tips to create a future proof business.

Shah said that one critical aspect to make future ready business is to put client's interests first. This will make happy clients and if your client is happy, your business is future proof, he said.

Shah also highlighted an issue in the investment landscape, noting that many Indians are inclined to invest without adequate knowledge or guidance. Whether influenced by others opinion or driven by greed, individuals often make uninformed investment decisions that could lead to losses.

To overcome this trend, MFDs must take the responsibility of educating investors about suitable investment instruments. By imparting knowledge and guidance, MFDs can protect investors from falling prey to ponzi schemes.

In his view, MFDs play a key role of Saarthi or Krishna in life of investors. Their role as Saarthi is pivotal in ensuring that investors make informed choices, leading to optimal returns on investments.
