    Satish Jain drops politics; back to fund management

    Satish Jain has joined HDFC MF while Vikram Kotak has quit Deutsche Mutual Fund.

    Satish Jain has joined HDFC MF while Vikram Kotak has quit Deutsche Mutual Fund.

    Satish Jain, who had left HDFC Mutual Fund to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has rejoined the fund house as a portfolio manager. He had recently contested elections from North Mumbai.

    Jain has done PGDM from IIM Bangalore and engineering from College of Engineering, Pune.  Prior to HDFC MF, he had worked with Morgan Stanley as Executive Director and has experience altogether of 18 years. 

    Meanwhile, Vikram Kotak has resigned from DWS Mutual Fund as its Chief Investment Officer. According to media reports, he is said to join a distribution firm called Fortune Financial Services.

    Kotak had joined DWS in 2013. Prior to this, he worked with Birla Sun Life Insurance (BSLI) as CIO.

    Vikram has completed an Executive Development Programme (EDP) from Wharton School of Business. He also holds a graduation degree in commerce from University of Mumbai and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India.
