A study conducted by distribution firm, FinEdge reveals that women are long term investors. It says that 67% of women have stayed invested for 3 years or more.
The study also found that the average investment size of women investors is Rs 4.69 lakh while the average investment size of male investors is Rs 4.07 lakh.
Here are other key findings of the report:
- Women set significantly higher individual goals for retirement with an average goal size of Rs.5.90 crore compared to men’s Rs 3.48 crore
- Women set larger individual goals for child education with an average goal size of Rs 58 lakh compared to men’s Rs.44 lakh
- The percentage of women investors increased from 25.68% in 2020 to 46.15% in 2024, demonstrating a significant narrowing of the gender gap in investment
- To cater to the specific need of women investors, FinEdge has launched a campaign #SheInvestsBest to encourage women's financial literacy and investment participation.
