Over 650 participants are expected to participate in the three-day-long mutual fund advisor’s event.
Over 650 advisors and industry experts are expected to congregate at the sixth Mutual Fund Round Table (MFRT) conference which is scheduled to be held in Agra from 15th to 17th August. Themed ‘Empowering Success’, the three-day-long event is set to kick off on August 15 with workshop on tools and technology, asset allocation strategy and mind mapping.
Members of Kolkata based IFA group – ASK Circle, the key people behind MFRT conference, have taken care to develop an action packed agenda and invited a galaxy of speakers, international and domestic to do justice to the topics.
Kanak Jain, Mentor – Training and Development at ASK Circle told Cafemutual that over 650 participants are expected to participate in the event. Sharing the major highlight of the event, he said, “Participants will definitely walk away with fresh ideas in this three-day-long conference. In this event, we have decided to focus on providing solutions, rather than whinging. Also, we aim to provide vision for the next six years so as to help IFAs grow their business by 2020. Apart from this, we would present 11 success stories of IFAs. So far AMCs get recognition only for fund performance. This year, we will also recognise new AMCs which have made a difference in industry by bringing in innovative ideas.”
Shifali Satsangee, MFRT Member, said, "The MFRT conference has an expanding pan India footprint. True to its tradition, it is an event that is characterized by volunteerism and adds value to advisors and others in the financial ecosystem as well. Apart from networking, discussing synergies and taking businesses to the next level, there is a session of Dale Carnegie wherein soft skills are cultivated and honed. Innovative Technology Solutions and tools to leverage the power of technology and to expand our online presence, which are the need of the hour and that could propel businesses into the growth orbit will also be showcased. The agenda would center around emerging trends, the changing dynamics of the industry, how to get future ready by being process driven, and topics that will dispel conventional myths which will in turn help advisors gain positive traction."
Awards will also be presented to AMCs which have gained a mindshare among investors and advisors. Apart from awarding AMCs, advisors will also be recognised for their exceptional work.
IFAs can look forward to discussions on use of technology and platforms, managing volatility, financial planning, etc. One of the main attractions will be Sam Cawthorn, a motivational speaker from Sydney Australia. Earlier in 2011, Cawthorn had addressed IFAs in MFRT conference and left an indelible mark on the delegates.
Among others, AMC CEOs, advisors, CIOs and R&T officials will share their views in the event. Besides learning and networking, IFAs can expect entertainment in the form of live music, dance performances and DJ. Since the event will be organized on Independence Day, the dance performance would be based on patriotic theme.
Only those IFAs who have a minimum of Rs 2.50 crore AUM in mutual funds are eligible to participate in the event. For IFAs from B-15 cities, the minimum entry level AUM is Rs. 1.75 crore. There are three other categories of memberships – Super (for advisors managing AUM of Rs. 12.50 crore), Royal (AUM of Rs. 25 crore), and Imperial (AUM of Rs. 100 crore).
The ASK Circle group was formed in June 2007 and held its first annual conference in 2009. The group has 82 members, majority of them from the east.
