    Participants walk away with fresh insights and knowledge.

    Cafemutual held its third flagship annual Cafemutual Confluence 2014 which was attended by 523 delegates consisting of advisors, national distributors, banks, eco system and AMC officials in Mumbai on September 12.

    Themed ‘Lets push Boundaries’, the event saw participation from some of the most eminent speakers from India and abroad.

    Noted journalist Rajdeep Sardesai received standing ovation for his candid take on the topic ‘Ethics in public life’. Other speakers included Dr. Raj Raghunathan, Professor of Marketing at the McCombs School of Business (University of Texas) and Robert Stammers, CFA and Director of Investor Education at CFA Institute and Monika Halan, Editor, Mint Money.

    There were four panel discussions consisting of large AMCs, emerging AMCs, advisors and marketing heads of AMCs.

    The audience also gained a lot of insights from some of the top minds in the investment management industry.

    S Naganath, CIO & President of DSP Black Rock spoke on the current state of the economy while Anoop Bhaskar, Head – Equities, UTI Mutual Fund spoke on what lessons we can learn from past bull runs.

    Prashant Jain, ED & CIO, HDFC MF gave insights on the topic ‘Turning investor returns performance into investor wealth’. Mahesh Patil, Co-CIO, Birla Sunlife MF presented a study which looked at the performance of different investment styles.

    Markets have run up with the arrival of new government. S Naren, CIO, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund guided investors on what investors need to be cautious about.

    DSP BlackRock was the Presenting Sponsor, SBI MF and Sundaram MF were Platinum Sponsors while Axis Mutual Fund, Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund and Reliance Mutual Fund were the Gold Sponsors. Mint newspaper was the media partner and Value Research was the Knowledge Partner.
