The Fundtastic Cup, an online investor education game, is a part of the investor awareness initiative from Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.
As a part of its investor awareness initiative, Franklin Templeton has launched Fundtastic Cup, an online investor education game designed on the theme of India’s most loved sport – cricket.
The fund house aims to educate consumers about investments and mutual funds in a fun and engaging manner. The game is currently available on desktops and mobiles – both IOS and Android versions, said a press release issued by the fund house.
Speaking on the launch, Harshendu Bindal, President, Franklin Templeton Investments, India said, “The Fundtastic Cup is a one-of-its kind endeavor towards creating an educative and engaging platform for consumers across India. Learning about investment concepts can be a little complex at times for the average consumer; however gamification makes the same learning fun and enables them to grasp the concepts better. We firmly believe that investor education is the first step towards realizing one’s financial goals and the easy-to-play Fundtastic Cup is a great first step in that direction.”
The game has been integrated with Facebook to allow users to login, participate and to share their scores. The game can be played over a period of six months. The level of difficulty increases as the user progresses. The winner, through a lucky draw, stands a chance to win iPads, kindles, mobile phones, tablets goodie bags. There is a grand prize for the “Man of the Match” which is a trip to Australia that will be announced at the end of the game.
