    He succeeded Late R Lakshman, the Founder President, who passed away in January 2014.

    S.K Bagaria of ASK Circle was elected as the President of Voice of Mutual Fund Distributors (VMFD). He succeeded Late R Lakshman, the Founder President, who passed away in January 2014.

    VMFD conducted its first AGM on 28th September 2014 in the presence of 12 members in Bangalore.

    It is a federation of mutual fund distributors association in India promoted by 7 associations across India – All Kerala IFA Association, Ask Circle (Kolkata), Association of Professional Independent Financial Advisors (Telangana), IFA Galaxy (Tamil Nadu), Independent Financial Professionals Association (Chennai), Karnataka Association of Mutual Fund Advisors and Pondicherry Individual Financial Advisors Association.

    Apart from discussing various issues related to the industry, the federation discussed what measures should be taken to attract more retail investors in mutual funds.

    The AGM was attended by 12 members - Gopalkrishnan, President, AKIFA, Oommen Panicker, Treasurer, AKIFA, S K Bagaria, Mentor, ASK Circle, Bhavik Udessi, President, ASK Circle,     Shabbir, President, APIFA, Ramesh Bhat, executive committee member, IFA Galaxy, Anitha R Bhat, executive committee, IFA Galaxy, Sathish Kumar, Treasurer, IFPA, Nilesh Shah, President, KAMFA, Rajeev, Secretary, KAMFA, George Joseph, Vice President, KAMFA and Sunil Bagath – PIFAA.
