    The committee will look into the matters relating to investor protection, industry development and simplifying regulations.

    In order to develop a robust pension system in the country, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has constituted an 18-member committee called Pension Advisory Committee.

    The committee will put forth its recommendations on various industry issues for the development of pension fund industry.

    Here are some key responsibilities of Pension Advisory Committee:

    • Matters relating to regulation of pension funds for ensuring investor protection
    • Issues related to development of pension fund industry
    • Disclosure requirements
    • Measures required to be taken for change in the legal framework to introduce simplification and transparency in the pension fund regulations
