This is the second highest collection after UTI mopped up Rs. 770 crore from its Focused Equity Fund.

DSP BlackRock’s 3 Years Close Ended Equity Fund which closed for subscription on November 21 has collected Rs. 670 crore, the second highest after UTI mopped up Rs. 770 crore from the first series of its closed end UTI Focused Equity Fund.

Ajit Menon, EVP & Head – Sales, Co-Head, Marketing, DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund said that the fund has collected over 28,000 applications.

Unlike other fund houses which are launching a series of closed end funds, DSPBR has so far not filed for any additional series of this fund.

The trend of close ended funds started with IDFC’s Equity Opportunity Fund in April 2013. This fund garnered Rs. 253 crore during its NFO period.

The third highest grosser in the closed end fund series is ICICI Prudential MF which collected Rs. 643 crore from ICICI Prudential Value Fund Series 1. The fund house has launched additional series of the same fund.
