    Which fund houses command the highest folios in FY 2025?

    MF industry has added close to 5.50 crore folios in FY25.

    Our analysis of the industry data shows that the mutual fund industry has added about 5.5 crore folios in FY25. The industry has recorded a good 31% growth in its folio count from 17.75 crore in March 2024 to 23.24 crore in March 2025.

    Nippon India MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF are the top three fund houses in terms of folio count in FY25.

    Nippon India MF has the highest folio count in the industry of 3.25 crore.

    While ICICI Pru MF has emerged as the second biggest fund house based on folio count with 2.58 crore folios, HDFC MF is the third with 2.33 crore folios.

    SBI MF and UTI MF are the next two with folio count of 1.91 crore and 1.33 crore folios, respectively.

    The list of top 10 AMCs with the highest folio count includes Axis MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Kotak MF, Motilal Oswal MF and DSP MF.

    These ten AMCs account for over 70% of the folio count of the entire industry with the rest of the 35 fund houses contributing close to 30% of the industry’s folios.

    AMC folio growth in FY25

    If we look at the growth of folio count of AMCs in FY25, Nippon India MF is again the leader with an increase of 81.8 lakh folios during this period.

    HDFC MF is second on the list with addition of 66.9 lakh folios while Motilal Oswal has added 64 lakh new folios last financial year.

    ICICI Pru MF and SBI MF secure the next two spots in the list with increase of 58.6 lakh and 44.7 lakh folios, respectively.

    Other AMCs with healthy increase in folio couint in FY25 include Tata MF, Quant MF, Kotak MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF and PPFAS MF.

    In percentage terms, Trust MF has seen a highly impressive 3241% growth in its folio count, thereby increasing its number of folios by 32x. Old Bridge MF and JM Financial MF are next with 243% and 242% growth in their folios. Zerodha MF, Motilal Oswal MF and Bajaj Finserv MF have also seen growth of 200% increase in their folio count.
