Ravi K Kumar who was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Pramerica has taken charge as the acting CEO of the fund house.
While the reasons for Vijai’s exit are not known, sources indicate that he is likely to move to some other industry. “Vijai is a very intelligent guy. He will be successful wherever he goes. It is a loss for the fund house,” said a Mumbai based distributor.
Recently, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation had announced that it would form a joint venture with Pramerica Mutual Fund by paying the AMC Rs. 24 crore.
Pramerica manages AUM of Rs. 2,060 as on September 2014.
