    Sharad Sharma is the new CEO of BNP Paribas MF

    Sharad Sharma was earlier the Executive Director of Geojit BNP Paribas.

    Sharad Sharma who was Executive Director, Geojit BNP Paribas till recently is said to have taken charge as the Chief Executive Officer at BNP Paribas MF.

    Sources said that Sharad has already joined the fund house last week. The fund house is expected to make an official announcement regarding his appointment soon.

    Sharad was heading operations at Geojit BNP Paribas. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, covering liability management, retail banking, forex treasury, corporate banking, operations and wealth management in State Bank of India and BNP Paribas.

    Sharad has been with BNP Paribas since 1989 in various senior management positions and was member of the Executive Management Committee of BNP Paribas, India. From 2001 to present, he has been the head of BNP Paribas’ Private Banking business as Country Head – Wealth Management.

    The top position at BNP Paribas MF was vacant after Nilkhil Johri left the fund house in August to start his advisory firm Trivantage Capital. After Nikhil’s exit, the fund house had appointed its Chief Operating Officer Viji Krishnan as the interim CEO. Cafemutual had first reported about Nikhil’s exit. Read here.
